Judges
Judging of piping competitions is a very important function. Judging of piping is very subjective. Judges are graded according to their knowledge, experience, standing in the piping community, and ability to assess performances in an encouraging and beneficial way for our solo competitors’ performance and development.
Each approved judge will have the confidence of the QHPS Pipers and Judges Grading Panel.
Again, this system has been developed similarly to the VPA and NZ PnD.
Process: Prospective piping adjudicators over the age of 18 may apply to the Pipers and Judges Grading Panel for an adjudicator grading. Adjudicators shall receive a separate grading for Piobaireachd and Light Music. The QHPS Panel will assess;
-
